    American College of Vedic Astrology (ACVA)
    "The American College of Vedic Astrology, located in Sedona, Arizona, is a non-
    profit educatiional organization dedicated to teaching the art and science of
    Vedic Astrology or Jyotish. ACVA's purpose is to provide the highest quality of
    education and training in Vedic Astrology to students and professional astrologers
    worldwide; emphasizing ethics and professionalism in the mastery of the
    principles and practice of Vedic Astrology.  The primary objective of the
    American College of Vedic Astrology is to advance the study of Vedic Sciences by

    American Federation of Astrologers (AFA)
    “The American Federation of Scientific Astrologers was founded May 4, 1938 at 11:
    38 a.m. when the organization's convention was called to order at the Raleigh
    Hotel in Washington, DC. Incorporation papers were filed simultaneously, and the
    three incorporators were Ernest A. Grant, Swan A. Erickson and Anna M. Cowan,
    all of whom were District of Columbia residents. The constitution was amended in
    1945, and the name was changed to the American Federation of Astrologer.”

    AORTA  
    “AORTA was established to address two primary areas - to meet the requirements
    of astrologers of The Tradition and to promote this discipline of astrology to the
    media and public. Methodologies vary between the different astrological
    disciplines, and astrologers of The Tradition require a foundation through which
    they can learn about their own methodologies, and interact with colleagues who
    share the same technical and philosophical principles. Within the public and

    “The British Association for Vedic Astrology was founded by Andrew Foss and
    Komilla Sutton.  The founding Patrons were the late Dr. B.V. Raman, founder
    Chairman of the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences and Dr. David Frawley,
    well-known author, President of the American Council for Vedic Astrology and
    founder of the American Institute of Vedic Studies.  Dr. Frawley continues as
